AOSS 320 - Earth System Evolution

  • Description: Introduction to the Physics and chemistry of Earth. Gravitational energy, radiative energy, Earth's energy budget, and Earth tectonics are discussed along with chemical evolution and biogeochemical cycles. The connections among the carbon cycle, silicate weathering, and the natural greenhouse effect are discussed. Required for AOSS/GS-321, which introduces Earth system dynamics.
