AOSS 102 - Extreme Weather

  • Description: This course provides an introduction to the Physics of extreme weather events. The course uses examples of the thunderstorms, jet stream, floods, lake-effect snowstorms, lightning, thunder, hail, hurricanes, and tornados to illustrate the physical laws governing the atmosphere. Participants apply these principles in hands-on storm forecasting and weather analysis assignments.
